1970 Chevelle SS454 1/24 Stock Car - This one I built for my friend Elmer who used to have the Cressona Mall Speedway hobby shop here. I used the Monogram Chevelle SS454 model kit body on a Parma 4.5inch FCR chassis with custom decals I made on my ALPS printer and special silicone coated sponge tires on the rear. |
| Chrysler PT Cruiser 1/25 Scale Model Kit - New from Revell, this one will most likely be fitted with a Ferret anglewinder chassis since the ones from the Parma FCR line are too wide for this body. A neat little model kit, looks like fun to build into a slot. By the way, PT stays for Personal Transportation :) | |

1970s Chevy Van 1/24 scale from Revell Kit - This
came from the recently re-issued Chevy Race Van Kit with Trailer.
The chassis is a 4.5 inch wheelbase FCR with ProTrack Drag Tires on the
rear which I plan to get silicone coated and has a surplus magnet super
glued on the front part for traction help.
I plan to build it mostly stock from the box plus might keep provision to tow the trailer so I can plop a car on there as well. Top heavy but fun :) |

1969 Plymouth Barracuda from MPC / AMT Kit - Here we have a Ferret anglewinder chassis mounted on a MPC / AMT model kit body of a '69 Cuda. The tires came with the chassis but I had the rear one coated with a secret type of silicone formula for some good traction on home plastic tracks since the foams as-is don't give much grip. Check out the Ferret chassis guide for more details on what chassis will fit model kit bodies for slot projects. |

Acura Integra Type R 1/24 scale How-To Project - This model kit was just released by Revell for the end of 2000 and looks to be a winner! Read the details on how you can build your own for your 1/24 slot car track. The first one will be built as an all-out Type R racer ready to do battle with Mustangs, Camaros, and other street cars. |

Toyota Rav4 1/32 4 x 4 Motorized Model Kit Conversion - The 3 volt Mabuchi S motor was replaced with a Plafit
Rabbit 12 volt motor for slot car use. I built this using the Tamiya
motorized model kit complete with 4 wheel drive and off-road tires.
The chassis needed somewhere to mount a guide flag so I used a modified
front K&B chassis piece to act as a drop arm.
Take a look in the Fun Gallery for more photos!!! Neat little monster truck :) |

1963 Chevy Impala Lowrider - This car was built using a ProFinish Revell-Monogram 1963 Impala Lowrider model kit #1644. The rear silicone tires are from Rocket Science (Jack Stinson) custom made for aluminum wheels I got on eBay from the 1960s era. The front tires are smooth low-friction rubber Cox units. I have a Plafit Cheetah motor powering this car with a Parma #578 4.5 wheelbase FCR unit for the chassis. Side windows were made from clear lexan and all the windows were painted black on the inside. |
| 1971 Dodge Charger R/T Project - With the new model kit released in 2000 by AMT, we have the opportunity to convert this kit into a decent looking 1/24 scale slot car for home tracks. Take a look at this how-to so you can build your very own 1/24 scale muscle car from Dodge. This car is now completed :) | |

Slot Car with Tank Treads (1/32)
and Chevy S-10 Pickup Body
Similar to a tank or similar vehicle that used to and probably still run at Monster Truck shows. I haven't decided on the body yet. Maybe a S10 Pickup from Monogram. The unit was converted from a battery operated model kit I purchased from eBay. The motor was swapped for a Plafit Rabbit and I added a 3/16 guide flag up front. It's different...stay tuned for more info and pictures when the body gets mounted. |

1/25 1996 Ford Crown
Victoria Police Car with Working Lights
This was converted from a Lindberg lowrider 1/25 scale model kit. The kit came with working lights so I kept those and added a 2AAA battery holder and switch. The chassis is a 4.5 inch FCR with ProTrack tires powered by a Plafit Fox motor. |

1/24 1957 Corvette Project - All Wheel Drive!!!
The chassis is a 1960s Russkit 4wd Black Widow. Two 16D motors similar to Russkits with ProTrack Tires all around and two Parma PSE King Crown Gears. Body by ToyTech. I tested the car on my 1/24 Carrera layout and it runs great. The front tires are the firm compound tires and the rears are the ProTrack European compound ones. This gives the all-wheel-drive system a little looseness so it doesn't bind up. |

1/24 1957 Corvette Project - All Wheel Drive!!!
Update
I finally got around to painting up and detailing the lexan body and finished the chassis part as well. It runs ok for a slot car and the all wheel drive system is unique but it doesn't really do anything in the speed department. I switched the ProTrack Rears up front and put some special silicone coated ProTrack tires on the Rear for extra traction. |

1/25 Custom 1988 Ford Mustang 5.0 Hatchback
This is a built MPC model kit body that was given to me by a good slot car friend of mine so I decided to make it into a little street machine. The chassis is a Parma FCR 4 inch and I plan to add side pipes and other custom parts to the car. |
I just completed some more 1/24 scale slot cars, you can see them in the gallery. The ones I am planning to work on next is a 1960 Ford Starliner and a 1993 Ford Mustang Cobra. The other cars I plan to adapt from model kits include a New Brite 1/32 scale Tractor Trailer, a 1/25 Revell CART car, and some other model kits. Some will work with wide 1/32 track such as Riggen, Ninco, etc. as well. They are great projects for 1/24 home tracks and club raceways.
