2003 Dino Derby
By Jim Cunningham

This section is all Thomas "Toto" Sasse: Top; Lotus 38, Talbot Lago, La LaBostella and a Lexan Ford GT. Second row: Porsche 917K Tiger Duck, hardbody Ford GT, Porsche 908, Lola GT. Third Row:Chaparral 2F, Porsche 917LH and another Lola GT. Bottom row: McLaren GT Penske fantasy, Cheetah and his amazing AutoUnion hillclimb.

Sunday's table saw some repeats: Top row; the Resilient Resins McLaren was back again for Susan to take another shot after Saturday's DNF. Her Team Nomad 1/32 TSRF Lexan Panoz is next, then Jim's vintage sprint car. The Lola T70 in Jon Surtees livery was impressive on the table, but it's motor needed attention on the track. Derek Peck drove it well, while it lasted. Yes, the mouse IS a slot car, and a diabolical one at that! Sam Brown provided great entertainment with it in practice. The mouses whipping "tail", was hysterical to watch and many of us laughed to tears while it took one car after another out of the slot! No, it did not race! Jim's modified is another car he's had a very long time, next to Tim's "bucket".

Jim's Little Red Wagon did frequent wheelies and even managed to hold several through the bank. Sam Brown's Porsche 968 is a hardbody on a TSRF chassis. Earl ran his old Lola F1 again. Gina McGraw drove the "Mary K" Corvette, Sam's other Porsche was this 356. The Cute little BRM was built on Sunday morning and Raced by Rich Heisel after winning the kit on Saturday. Rich's Parnelli Jones Indy car finishes the table. There were many more interesting cars to see in boxes and pit areas!
